We stand behind Jose at the Federal Court of Appeal
January 30, 2017- 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
On January 30, 2017, the Federal Court of Appeal will hold the hearing of the Appeal of J. Brown’s decision to refuse an extension of time to file a motion for reconsideration of an interlocutory judgement dated December 21, 2015. This was concerning an application for the issuance of a certificate by the Minister of Public Safety stating that the name Jose Luis Figueroa is not listed in the list of entities of Canada.
Under Subsection 83.07(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada, the Minister of Public Safety has the legal obligation to issue a certificate within 15 days after receiving an application, if he or she is satisfied that the Applicant is not a listed entity. The Minister has repeatedly disregarded his legal obligation and the issuance of the certificate has been in litigation for almost two years.
Join in support of Jose at the Federal Court of Appeal on January 30, 2017, starting at 2:00 pm. The hearing is scheduled to last no more than 1 1/2 hours. Your attendance will give so much moral support!
