Potluck & Movie: Big Oil Whistleblower
February 11, 2017- 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us for a potluck and screening of a new documentary about whistleblower John Bolenbaugh, who worked for Enbridge during the 2010 Kalamazoo oil spill.
Unwilling to help cover up the company’s blatant disregard for life and health, Bolenbaugh sacrificed his job and began documenting the extent of the damage to the local ecosystem and his community.
After the film we will discuss grassroots resistance to fossil fuels and solutions for a truly sustainable society that protects all beings.
6:00 – Potluck (Bring your favourite food to share and your own plate, cup & utensils)
6:30 – Film screening of “Big Oil Whistleblower” begins
7:10 – 5 minute intermission
7:15 – Film resumes

9:00 – End
