The intention of the Wild Salmon Caravan is to nurture the creative energy that wild salmon have inspired through the ages, and affirm inter-tribal relationships that are the foundation of Indigenous trade and fisheries knowledge systems adapted over thousands of years. The collaboration and creative energy will serve to transform the darkness surrounding the industrial storm that is endangering wild salmon.
This event will be the last stop of the Wild Salmon Caravan!!! We will group at Creekside Park, near Science World and march together to Crab Park @101 W Waterfront Road.
Come and join us to raise awareness of the ecological and social importance of wild salmon through various forms of artistic and cultural media and engagement strategies.
There will be music, storytelling, creative cafe conversations, face painting, visual and performing arts, poetry and MORE!!!!
