In this talk Dr. Qiyan Wu will discuss studentification as a new feature and process of gentrification. Dr. Wu’s past work has examined Nanjing, one of China’s largest urban centres. Using the example of Nanjing, Dr. Wu will build on his original studies to consider cities with large Chinese immigrant populations, such as Metro Vancouver and Manchester.
