I immigrated to Canada from Iran in 1999. I came here for economic and political reasons. I was hoping for a more comfortable life, safety, and a better income. It is one of the richest countries in the world, and I was hoping for a better life. I have been homeless for eight years now. It was hard for me to adjust to Canadian society and I experienced a deep depression. Coming here was a shock for me, and I didn’t feel any community. (…)
