Resistance Is Us: Healing & Action

We would like to acknowledge that this event is taking place on the ancestral, traditional and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Skxwú7mesh, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations, on whose territories we live and organize. As stewards of these lands, we would like to recognize the tremendous labour that has gone into nurturing and protecting these traditional lands, and the many ways in which indigenous resistance has deeply informed our own activism.
Fam, we know you are tired and stressed and probably enraged, believe us you are not alone.
We’ve organized this event for women and femmes of color to come together and share in an incredible night of healing and action! We have set up a number of workshop style activities to help us work through anger, pain and to de-stress. We are coming together to mobilize our collective power and to provide a space for you to celebrate yourselves! Prepare yourself for an exciting night of reflection, laughter, dancing, crying and whole load of LOVE!!!
Light snacks will be provided!

Invitation: ** This event is open only to self identifying women and femmes of color of all ages** (Invite your friends)
ACCESSIBILITY & INCLUSION: It is critical to note that our experiences as WOC are not monolithic ones, and that there are those among us living in the intersections of being both Queer and/or Trans, living with disabilities and so on. These women of color are often furthered marginalized by their identities and it is important that we recognize these differences and provide the neccesary space to empower these voices and experiences.
Homophobia, Transphobia and any other forms of prejudice and violence will not be tolerated!
